It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Walker Thrash of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on September 23, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmie Harris Thrash; her parents, Ike Walker and Myrtle Walker; her daughter Deborah Lorraine Sommers; and her grandson Ricky "Harris" Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Ike Walker Thrash (Dawn) of Hattiesburg, Jimmie Harris Thrash, Jr. (Twyla) of Hendersonville, NC, Nancy Thrash Gibson (Ricky) of Hattiesburg and Alton William Thrash (Lisa) of Prattville, AL; and her sister Hazel Walker Lang of Meridian. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 limitations, the family will have a private funeral service with interment at Highland Cemetery.
