She was predeceased by: her mother Shirley Beard,; her stepfather Arthur Beard, Sr.; and her stepbrother Arthur Beard, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Harry Butler of Hattiesburg, MS; her sons, Justin Butler (Lauren) of Portland, OR, Matthew Butler (Caroline) of Hattiesburg, MS and Daniel Butler (Maggi) of Ames, IA; and her granddaughters, Aubrey, Clara, Valerie, Catherine, Lana and Callen Butler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made in her name to Southern Pines Animal Shelter or to Main Street Baptist Church.
