He was predeceased by: his brother Franklin Blake Shoemake; and his stepfather Wayne Graves. He is survived by: his parents, David Lee Shoemake, Sr. of Hattiesburg and Dorothy Eileen Graves (Sullivan); his son Walker Lee Creel; his sister Nancy Caleb Garrett (Caleb); his uncle David Hughes of Irondale, AL; his aunt Louise Clark of Atlanta, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Abbey Bedwell, Bubba Garrett, Zoe Hughes, Aubree Garrett and Braylynn Garrett. He is also survived by numerous extended family, and more friends.
