He is survived by: his wife Billie Elaine Smith Patterson; his children, Janice Patterson Watson, Dwayne Patterson (Barbara) and Gwen Haigler (Tim); his grandchildren, Kenneth Shay Reid (Susan), Luke Patterson (Holly), Simon Patterson, Ashton Haigler (Anne-Marie), Janna Cochran (Clay), Sheila Banks (Randy), John Wesley Watson (Chaille) and Rachel King Thrash (Ryan); and his sister Beatrice Sanford. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
