He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Boyles Welker of Virginia; and his daughter Diane Marie Welker. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Ratcliff (Marty) of Slidell, Jan Nielsen of Hattiesburg and Carol Krohn (Steve) of Charlottesville; and his grandchildren, Karen Ratcliff Evans (Mike), Tracey Ratcliff Scharf (Matthew), Elizabeth Ratcliff Garver (Andrew), Katie Nielsen Simour (Zakaria), Misha Nielsen, Joseph Krohn and Peter Krohn. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkway Heights United Methodist Church.
