He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Evans and Dena Evans; his wife Joyce Smith Evans; his brother Edward A. Evans; and his daughter-in-law Lori Griffin Evans.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Guy Evans, Jr. and Steven Harper Evans (Amy); his sister Jerry Evans Bradley (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Megan Evans Hopkins, Charles Guy Evans, III, Suzanne Haley Evans, Graham Bailey Evans, Steven Harper Evans, Jr., James Smith Evans, Charles Leslie Evans and John Maxwell Evans; and his great grandchildren, Evans Davis Hopkins and Mary-Claire Hopkins.
