He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Melvin Burgess; his son Charles D. Burgess, Jr.; and his grandson Victor C. Burgess. He is survived by: his daughters, Teri D. Burgess of Grapevine, TX, Bonita Beckham (Rick) of Princeton, TX and Zelma Magee (Robin) of Columbia, MS. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In place of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, Marion County Food Pantry or a favorite charity.
