She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Harrison Praytor and Mary White Praytor; her sister Beverly Praytor Owens; her granddaughter Chelsey Currie; and her husband Harry Hickman, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Mary Currie Dryden (Steve) of Hattiesburg, MS, Joan Currie Clark (Steve) of Brooklyn, MS, Beverly Kay Currie Hopper (Kitty) of Petal, MS, Sandy Hickman Holland (Robert) of Leland, MS, Laura Hickman Hollister (Stevens) of Madison, MS and Jim Currie (Cindy) of Madison. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

“I had the great privilege of getting to know Carol and Harry during their time at Provision Assisted Living. Being neighbors to my parents, I saw them frequently and became close to them both. Carol always had a smile for me and I looked forward to seeing them. With the restrictions in place from Covid, I just heard of her passing. She will be missed. I’m glad she and Harry are reunited, and I can imagine them sitting at the Lords table, holding hands and praying together. They were blessings.”
