It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carmen Delk Simmons (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford E. Delk and Ella Morgan Delk; her husband Robert Floyd Simmons; and her siblings, Randolph Delk, Elton Delk, Howard Delk, Bonnie Lee Ridgdell Lyons, Frances Rosenbarger, Venetia McBeth Finch and Sarah Merle Easterling.
She is survived by: her sister Nell Cox; her children, Emily Simmons Mooney and Robert Delk Simmons (Mary Bess); her grandchildren, Dina Mooney Boucher and Austin Randolph Simmons; and her great grandchild Mathew Simmons Boucher. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to William Carey University or Main Street Baptist Church.
