She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Alford and Willia Alford; and her brothers, Howard Alford, Jr. of Clinton and Wayne Alford of Jackson, Tennessee.. She is survived by: her brother Roger Alford (Martha Anne) of Bolton; her children, Gene Gates (Susan Morgan) of Fresno and Kathy Gates Vail (Don) of Hattiesburg; and her grandchildren, Morgan Gates and Aidan Gates.
