William Ty Yates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Ty Yates of Harrisville, Mississippi, born in Mendenhall, Mississippi, who passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William Ty may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William Ty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Yates and Sylvia Berry Yates. He is survived by: his daughters, Sylvia Yates (Marquez Riley) and Nicole Yates; his grandchildren, Lillianna, Raniah and Cohen; and his sister Pam Yates.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall (3077 MS-13, Mendenhall, MS 39114). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harrisville Cemetery (1513 MS-469, Harrisville, MS 39082).
