He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Andrew Sorey and Nora Harris Sorey; and his sisters, Myrtle Sorey Nelson, Clara Sorey McKnight, Maggie Sorey Beall and Edith Sorey McGowen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rowell Sorey of Harrisville, MS; and his sons, Eddy Sorey (Gretta) of Jackson, MS, Lenny Sorey (Karen) of Daphne, AL and Terry Sorey (Betty) of Madison, MS. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
