It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hurshel Hill of Guntown, Mississippi, born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ethel Rakestraw and William Mancil Hill; his wife Dorothy Carroll Hill; his son-in-law H. B. Greer; and his grandson Justin Greer.
He is survived by: his children, Delane Bradley (Phil) of Mooreville, Ruth Greer of Blue Springs and Gary Hill of Guntown; his grandchildren, Shohn Greer (Kelly), Kirk Greer (Kristy) of Blue Springs, Shannon Long (Kevin), Shelley Dobbs (Art) of Mooreville and Garrett Hill of Tupelo; his great grandchildren, Tyler Long (Bre) of Tupelo, Analyse Peugh (Andrew) of Richmond, Savannah Greer, Izabella Greer of Blue Springs and Sonny Hill of Tupelo; and his great great grandchildren, Liam Long, Addison Peugh, Shepard Long, Barron "Bear" Long, Andi-Cate Peugh and Doc Peugh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824).
