She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Taylor Buse and Pearl Horton Buse; her husband John D. Herring Jr.; her former husband Lewis Branyan; and her siblings, Corrine Herndon, Cornelia Carlock, Lawrence Buse and Tracy Buse.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Chuck Herring (Darlene) of Collierville and Pam Walton (Harry) of Saltillo; her grandchildren, Heather Shivers (Vic), Zac Herring (Tina), DeAnna Dahlem, Drew Dahlem and Carmen Hill (Adam); her great grandchildren, Cade, Aynsley, Laken, Reid, Kennedy and Benton; her grandson Lewis; and her stepchildren, Cindy Warren and Bob Branyan (Edye).
