He was predeceased by: his father Theodore "Pete" Alford; and his nephew Matthew Baker. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lipnick Alford; his mother Elizabeth Ann Alford; his daughters, Anna A. Sledge (Allen) and Merritt Dattel McGowan (Dave); his siblings, Dave Alford (Mary Anne) and Cindi A. Baker (Stanley); and his grandchildren, Theodore Alford "Ford" Murphy, Capps Sledge, Roselie McGowan and Maura McGowan.
The family asks that donations be made to the Jewish Cemetery Fund of Greenville, First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, or to St. Jude Research Hospital.
