He is survived by: his wife Donna Simmons Payne; his children, Alex Payne (Jennifer) and Tiffany Weisner (Chad); his brother Melvin C. Payne, Jr.; his grandchildren, Josh Eppinette and Olivia Eppinette; and his stepdaughter Ginger Blacklidge Hyatt (family: Roy Brittany Blacklidge).
