It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Whisenant of Gulfport, Mississippi, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Irving and Norma Estelle Slade (Edgar); her husband Roger Whisenant; her son Michael Slade; her grandchildren, Alanna Beck and Edmon Staggs III; and her brother Mark Slade.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kyra DeMore (Anthony), Lauren Staggs and Rachael Whisenant; her grandchildren, Lucas Andrews, Donald, Daniel, Allyson Beck, Audry Simmerman, Caitlyn, Madelyn Staggs, Dax Whisenant, Silas and Maisie Miller; her great grandchildren, Lydia and Jax Andrews; and her siblings, Bernie Slade, Jr. (Suzanne), Mike Slade (Marie), Dianne Swennumson (Barry), Lanette Killebrew (Larry) and Karen Bryant (Randy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
