She was predeceased by: her son James Hardy; her great grandchildren, Naomi and Carter Espey; her parents, Arthur Horne Sr. and Lula Horne; her siblings, Arthur Horne, Jr., Robert Earl Peters Sr., Burnette Horne, Fleecia Horne Bledsoe and Patricia "Trish" Nixon; her nieces, Antionette Horne and Lillian Joyce Allen; and her siblings-in-law, James Nixon and Selinda Hardy-Cobb.
She is survived by: her children, Francisco "Boo" Hardy (Ann) of Diamondhead, MS, Venus Hardy Espey and Victoria "Vicky" Hardy of Gulfport, MS; her grandchildren, Nehemiah Espey (Alecia Jackson) of Chattanooga, TN, Ne'Asya Espey, Shayla Lizana of Deion, Keyes of Gulfport, MS and Maya Hardy of Diamondhead, MS; her great grandchildren, Zyon and Za'Lon Espey of Chattanooga, TN; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Peters of Oakland, CA, Cheryl Green of Charlotte, NC and Sandra Morrison (George) of Winston-Salem, NC; and her niece Dorothy Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
