She was predeceased by: her parents, Almont Sr. Ashley and Elvira Ashley; and her siblings, Alma Watson, Cleo Laneaux, Theresa Norris, Almont Ashley Jr. and Paul Ashley.
She is survived by: her husband Willie Cox; her children, Gretchen Connor (Wes), Ashley Cox (Annie) and Rodney Cox; her grandchildren, Alexis, Caroline, Rodney and Courtney; her great grandchild Makih; and her siblings, Hilda Smith, Clarence Ashley, Edith Thomas, George Ashley, Gilbert Ashley, Edward Ashley and Ruth Hodge. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church (216 Saucier Ave, Pass Christian, MS 39571). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39530).
Her true passion, however, lay in her contributions to her church and community.
