In loving memory of George L. McCreary of Gulfport, Mississippi, who departed this world on January 9, 2025 at the age of 71. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph McCreary and Mary Wingate McCreary; his brothers, Randal "Sonny" McCreary and James "Baby James" McCreary; his niece Miranda; his son Randolph "Scudder" McCreary III; his friends, Michael Fairley and Tom Breland; his work buddy Isaac Farley; his spouse Lacey McCreary; and his daughter Jordan McCreary.
He is survived by: his children, Derek McCreary of Orangeburg, SC and Krystal McCreary of Gulfport; his sisters, Gloria Grace (Boston) of Gulfport and Jessie "" Tyler of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Simone, N'chole and Zion; and his extended family, Boston Grace Jr., Tim Grace (Lethreanna), Stephanie "" Grace of New York, Natalia "Irene" Grace, Cherish Walker, Tracy Brown (Robert), Zanzi McCreary, Geremy Grace and Ashley Sanders (Joseph). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riley Chapel United Methodist Church (1107 Church St, Gulfport, MS 39507). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens (19361 28th St, Long Beach, MS 39560).
