He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha R. Gary and Dennis Allen. He is survived by: his siblings, William Maurice Gary and Erma Regina Riley; his adoptive children, Arkimla Shoemaker, Arkimberly Shoemaker, Charles McLaurin and Curtis Thompson; his sister-in-law Patricia Shoemaker; his niece Jonetta (Corine Henderson); and his nephew William Henderson. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riley Chapel United Methodist Church (1107 Church St, Gulfport, MS 39507). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (8910 Carl Legett Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503).
