With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Campbell Houtz of Gulfport, Mississippi, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Sr. Campbell and Lois Campbell; her brother Bert Campbell Jr.; her husband George W. Houtz Jr.; and her son George W. "Bucky" Houtz III.
She is survived by: her brother Ron Campbell (Donna) of Hattiesburg, MS; her sisters-in-law, Betty Campbell of Brewton, AL and Minnie Weaver of Gulfport, MS; and her children, Carla Blackwood (Charlie) of Gulfport, MS, Rhonda Houtz of D'Iberville, MS and Brian Houtz (Andrea) of Bristol, WI..
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531). A reception will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (5005 Lawson Ave, Gulfport, MS 39507).
