He was predeceased by: his father Harold Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Claytor Freeman; his mother Joyce Blair Stier; his siblings, Pam Bybee, Christy Kobielsky (Keith) and David Freeman (Kim); his nieces, Kristi Bybee and Hannah Freeman; his sister-in-law Cindy Batey; his nephews, Brandon and Brent Batey (Crystal); his godchildren, Dean, Dallas Burgess and Lilly-Rose Burgess; and his close friend Rick Cronic. He is also survived by friends, and co-workers.
