He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sledge and Eleanor Sledge of Mobile, AL.. He is survived by: his son Bruce Joel "BJ" Sledge of Gulfport, MS; and his siblings, Tammy Forouzan (Ali) of Mobile, AL, Deborah Whittington (Steve) of Stockton, AL, James Sledge, Jr. of Mobile, AL and Stephen Sledge (Angela) of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619).
