She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Lue Fortenberry Burks and Warren Leon Burks Sr.; her granddaughter Raneika Sharae Sumrall; her great grandchild Rhilo Sumrall Robinson; and her siblings, Larry Burks Sr., Barbara Burks Lewis and Linda Burks.
She is survived by: her aunt Nursie Fortenberry; her husband Artice Sumrall of Saucier, MS; her children, Carmia Burks of Biloxi, MS, Raquel Sumrall of Saucier, MS, Q'Juania Hanshaw Jr. (Carl) and Artice DaShaun (Tiffany); her grandchildren, RaJaun Sumrall, Isaiah Burks, Ashia Sumrall, Mya Coleman, Carl Hanshaw Ill (Tre), Taylor Roberts, Korey Hanshaw, Alannah Sumrall and Bella Sumrall; her great grandchild Brycen Sumrall; her siblings, Aaron Burks, Warren Burks, Jr., Janice Murrary and Deidra Burks; and her friends, Mary Rogers, Jessie Lee Hill and Patricia Spann.
