She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thurman and Caroline Lizana Thurman; her husband George Sears; her daughter Claudette Beaugez; and her siblings, James, Wiley, Edmond, Charlie, Donna, Mary and Eva.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jimmy" Sears (Karen), Linda Ingram (Craig) of Gulfport, Veronica Sears of Gulfport, Earl Sears (Michelle) of Diamondhead, Carol Smith (Paul) of Gulfport, Duane Sears of Gulfport and Tina Mackins (Will) of Colorado Springs; and her siblings, Wallace Thurman (Ruth) of McHenry, William Thurman (Linda) of McHenry, Patricia Allen (Stanley) of Pass Christian, Avis Garland (Mike) of Gulfport and Marty Goodman of Long Beach. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
