It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Areleous Morris Burton (Gulfport, Mississippi), who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur H. Burton and Mattie Mae Jones; and his daughter Roberta Burton. He is survived by: his stepgrandfather Ernest Espy; his wife Joyce Stubbs Burton; and his children, Areleous Morris Burton Jr. (Diep), Allison Marie Burton (Romalice), Andrew Miles Burton, Justin Morris Burton and DeVoyce Stubbs Gray. He is also survived by grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mark United Methodist Church (3350 28th St, Gulfport, MS 39501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39530).
