It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel L Dowdle (Grenada, Mississippi), who passed away on October 24, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston Dowdle and Jnettie Emmons Dowdle; his wife Lena Mae Pickle Dowdle; and his brother G. W. "Buddy" Dowdle. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Dowdle Mooney, Sam Dowdle (Tracie) and John Dowdle; and his sister Virginia Rutland (Billy) of Grenada. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
