She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carter and Alma Overton Carter; her husband Dr. Wolf Zuelzer; her brother Edward Carter of Big Sandy, TX; and her grandson Daniel "Danny" Thompson, III.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Dwayen Thompson, Jr., Barbara Ferguson of New York and Jacquelyn Anderson of Maryland; her brother Aubrey Carter of Grenada; her grandchildren, Ted Ferguson of New York, Jennifer Ferguson of New York and Amanda Ferguson of California; and her great grandchild Joseph Dwayne Thompson. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
