He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton Harold and Martha Raye Moore Smith; and his brother Harold Dewayne Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Jackson Smith; his sons, Walter Cornelius Smith of Tupelo, Daniel Sossaman, Jr. of Cascilla and Bailey Sossaman (Samantha) of Rosebloom; his stepdaughters, Dee Dee Buras and Tammy Baldos; his brother Mark Smith (Stephanie) of Biloxi; his grandchildren, Charity Gaviorno (Lucas) and Jody Baldos; and his great grandchild Neli Ann Gaviorno. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
