With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rachel Woods of Grenada, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rachel left this world on December 3, 2024 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Glen Corder and Audrey Shelton Corder; and her sisters, Elaine Ponder, Charlotte Easley and Glennis Patton.
She is survived by: her pet Marlee; her husband James E. Woods; her children, Marsha Engle of Grenada, Tracy McKelroy (Tim) of Rosebloom, Misty Fayard (Sam) of Carroll County and Jason Woods (Melanie) of Carroll County; her brothers, Johnny Corder (Lori) of Georgia and Chris Corder of Grenada; her grandchildren, Trinity Moorhead (Jonathan), Kaylee McKelroy, Lainee McKelroy, Blair McKelroy, Harley Crenshaw (William), Rye Fayard, Anna-Lynn Fayard, Samantha Fayard, Christian Melton, Presley Woods (Michael Bankston) and Audrey Woods; and her great grandchildren, Nash Crenshaw, Ryker Crenshaw, Easton Crenshaw, Trent Crenshaw, Hallie Fayard and Mattie Lynn Sturgis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
