She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde McCallester and Pauline Reed McCallester; her husband James H. Simmons; her son Danny Simmons; and her sister Ester Branscum.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Hendricks of Grenada and Susan Hemphill of Gore Springs; and her siblings, Flora Ella Walker of Marked Tree, Julie Franks of Bono, Onie Morris of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Sonny McCallester of Crawfordsville, Arkansas. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
