It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Whitfield (Grenada, Mississippi), who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neely Howard and Lerlene Owens Whitfield; and his sister Patricia Pirtle. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gordon Whitfield; his sons, Gordon Scott Whitfield (Michelle) of Goldsboro, NC and Brandon Lee Whitfield (Samantha) of Rockwall, TX; his siblings, Barbara Bailey, Virginia Quinn, Ronnie and Jerry Whitfield; and his grandchildren, Ashley Keagy, Rebekah Adams, Alivia Whitfield, Kassie Whitfield, Gordon Scott Whitfield, Jr., Elizabeth Whitfield and Nathan Whitfield. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
