He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clifton and Vera Hughes Monteith; and his brother Tarlton Hughes Monteith. He is survived by: his wife June Monteith; his sons, John Monteith (Olivia) of Grenada and Joseph Clifton Monteith, III of Grenada; his sister Margaret Monteith Davis of Grenada; and his grandchildren, Taylor June Monteith and John Pierce Monteith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
