We bid farewell to Jim Cooper of Grenada, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 11, 2025 at the age of 96. Jim touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Jim may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Cooper, Sr. and Edna Carter Cooper; his wife Mary Frances Driskell Cooper; his son James A. Cooper, III (Al); and his sister Muriel Cooper Strong.
He is survived by: his son Ken Cooper (Holly) of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Casey Cooper and Mary Margaret Cooper of Memphis, TN; his brother William Cooper (Margaret) of Bartlett, TN; and his cousin Kay Nesbit (Tim) of Foley, AL. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (450 Faith Dr, Grenada, MS 38901).
