He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy James Collins and Lula Mae Johnson Collins; his wives, Esther Collins Harrison, Janie Eudora "Sunny" Collins and Sharon Dale Collins; his son James Collins; and his siblings, Linda Carol Garner, Doris Neal, Mary Joyce McNatt, Paul Collins and Ray Collins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lana Marie Verplank and Deborah Jo Moloznik; his siblings, Barbara Ann Logan, Jenaile Costilow, John Roy "Shorty" Collins and Billy Wayne Collins; and his grandchildren, Christopher Verplank, Jr., Brittany Verplank, Connor Verplank, Tanner Verplank and Laura Clarke.
