Faye Oakes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Faye Oakes of Grenada, Mississippi, who passed away on August 15, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Alexander and Mattie Marie "Doll" Corley Herbert; her husbands, Royce H. Collins and Harris G. Oakes; and her sister Frances Eleanor DeLoach.
She is survived by: her brother William G. Herbert of Alcolu, SC; her stepson Jerry Collins of Magnolia Springs, AL; her nieces, Brenda Bankston (Ross) of Grenada, Melissa Lynch (Neal) of Alcolu, SC and Rebecca Gayle Barwick (Trey) of Ankery, IA; her grandchildren, Ashley Menefee (Bill) and Kelleigh Cassity (Matt); and her great-niece Laurie Cooper (Whit).
