It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Scheafer of Grenada, Mississippi, born in Winona, Mississippi, who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Lee and Mary Corinne Johnston Collins; her husband John R. Scheafer, Sr.; her son Calvin Scheafer; her great grandchild Joseph B. Barrow; her grandmothers, Bernice Jacobson, Charlene Moore and Mary Billie Boatman; and her brothers, Clinton Collins, Fred Collins, John Boy Collins and Hilliard Collins.
She is survived by: her son John R. Scheafer, Jr. (Lynn) of Coldwater; her daughter-in-law Cathy Scheafer of Rosebloom; her grandchildren, Stephanie Garcia (Oryan) of Grenada, Jordon Scheafer (Amanda) of Rosebloom and Stacy Cook (Bryan) of Independence; and her great grandchildren, Bryan, Bryce Barrow, Kayden, Charlee Garcia, Hayden, Hudson Scheafer and Dustin Cook. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
