We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2022, at the age of 80, Ernest Eugene Shirley of Grenada, Mississippi, born in Waynesboro, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nealie Shirley and Birdie Shirley; his wife Inez Shirley; and his siblings, Frank Shirley, Nealie Shirley, Jr., Faye Dyess, Paul Shirley and Virginia Stevens.
He is survived by: his brother John Shirley (Patty) of Waynesboro; his children, Janet Kiser (Charlie) of Magee, Judy Shirley of Laurel, Kay Barry of Laurel and Billy Wayne Shirley of Laurel; and his stepchildren, Theresea Jones, Jim Slaton, Rebecca Potts and Patti Flowers. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
