He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Winkles and Gladys Haygood Winkles; his brothers, Walter Winkles and Terry Winkles; and his sons, Tommy Winkles and Mitchel Winkles.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Wayne Winkles of Ripley, MS, Jason Wayne Winkles (Freida) of Ripley, MS, Debra Hopkins (Charles) of Ashland, MS and Christian Barnes (Jeremy) of Grenada, MS; his siblings, Randy Winkles (Virginia) of Ripley, MS, Geary Winkles (Janie) of Ripley, MS and Lori Jones of Chalybeate, MS; and his grandchildren, Donnie Salmon (Tiffany), Randy Salmon (Katie), Tommy Sagely, Brenna Salmon (Michael), Christina Salmon (Nathan), Randy Winkles, Daniel Red Winkles (Richard), Michael Winkles (Tay) and Monica Gresham. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
