He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Hollis and Bertha Lou Foster Hollis; his wife Peggy Hollis; his daughter Peggy Smitherman; his son-in-law Louis Smitherman; and his brothers, F. J., John David and Charles Edward Hollis.
He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Clifton and Hollis, Jr.; his siblings, Ruby Belk of Houston and Donnie Joe Hollis of Grenada; and his grandchildren, Shae Bishop (Dean), Casey Hollis, Jason Smitherman (Rachel), Ryan Hollis and Corissa Smitherman (Connor). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hebron Baptist Church (315 Hebron Church Rd, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
