Betty left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Dewitt Organ and Amanda Carolyn Jackson; her husband David Maxey; her children, Melody Little and David Maxey, Jr.; her grandson Bob Hood; and her siblings, Margie Harris, Vivian Hood, Granville, Thomas and Edward Organ.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda Winters (Jessie) of Grenada, Kimberly Thimmes (Patrick) of Grenada and Susan Mansfield (Mike) of Holcomb; and her grandchildren, Jessica Winters, Matt Winters (Renee), William Thimmes, Lauren Thimmes, Cheryl Waters (Shane) and Crystal Osborne (Richard). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Holcomb Methodist Church.
