With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Archie Leggett of Grenada, Mississippi, born in Drew, Mississippi, who passed away on June 30, 2020 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Archie Leggett to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Leggett and Mabry Leggett; and his siblings, Marvin Leggett, Velma Browning and Jesse Irwin.
He is survived by: his brothers, John Boler and Jim Nunnelee; his wife Peggy of Grenada; his children, Archie Leggett, Jr. (Glenda), Penny Chaney (Irvin) of Philadelphia, MS and Patsy Hankins (Harold) of Ripley, MS.; and his grandchildren, Shannon Morrow (BJ), Brad Chaney (Stephanie), Lindsey Chaney, Krystle Stanley (Michael) and Lauren Loper (Blake). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grand children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to First Baptist Church, 450 Faith Drive, Grenada, MS 38901.
