He was predeceased by: his parents, Meek Andrew, Sr. and Ola Mae Harris Payne; his son Curtis Andrew Payne; his granddaughter Jessica Ladner; and his siblings, Geneva Payne, J. B., James, Reece and Junior Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Montgomery Payne; his children, Helen Ladner (Charles) of Gore Springs, Chris Payne (Sheila) of Duck Hill and Gerald Payne of Scobey; his siblings, Doris Ridenour of Dothan, AL, Noble Payne of Dothan, AL, Richard Payne of Picayune and J. L. Payne of Florida; his grandchildren, Jenna Ladner, Makayla Payne, Cory Payne, Ricky Fly and Brooklyn Payne; and his great grandchild Rylee Miguel.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
