He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Tolbert Hardeman and Katharine Elizabeth Taylor; his friend Eleanor Steele Thomas; his brother-in-law J. T. Thomas III; his father-in-law J. T. Thomas, Jr.; his friend Buck Harris; his wife Eleanor Steele Hardeman; his children, Eleanor Hardeman Acosta of Greenwood, MS and Robert Taylor Hardeman, Jr. of Grenada, MS; his grandchildren, Eleanor Acosta Aldridge (Brad), Joseph Robert Acosta, Jr. (Mary Kathryn) and Katharine Elizabeth Taylor Acosta; and his great grandchildren, Lawson Smith, Mariella Steele Acosta and Everleigh Sawyer Acosta.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that contributions be made to the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, Pillow Academy, or to the donors' favorite charity.
