He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornel Shields and Sybil Ethel Mitchell Shields. He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia Shields of Kettering, Natalie Shields of Greenwood, MS and Josefa Shields of Greenwood, MS; and his siblings, Douglas Lee Shields of Greenwood, MS, Jennifer James of Poplar Creek, MS and Gail Denton of Grenada, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
