It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Poe Mixon (Greenwood, Mississippi), who passed away on July 7, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harold Montgomery and Nora Irene McDaniel Montgomery; her sisters, Sarah Montgomery and Ann Crowley; and her husband James Redelle Poe, Sr. (Lawrence "Larry" Ellis).
She is survived by: her siblings, James Ross Montgomery (Betty) of Greenwood and Faye Blanchard of Brunswick, Georgia; her sons, James "Jimmy" Redelle Poe, Jr. (Debbie) of Indianola and Ronnie Lane Poe (Susan) of Carrollton; and her grandchildren, Courtney Rushing (David), Neely Berry (Michael), Shelley Wisenor (Justin), Brandon Poe (Katie) and Austin Poe (Felicia). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
