With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Burden of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Sunflower, Mississippi, who passed away on July 18, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lonzo Refus Deaton and Martha Jane Kennedy Deaton; her son Brad Burden; her husband Henry H. Burden of Greenwood, MS; her children, Mike Burden of Greenwood, MS and Candi Lucas (Charles) of Coila, MS; her grandson Ian Conner Mills; and her siblings, Hal Wayne Deaton (Alice) of Gore Springs, MS and Ina Jane Gordon of Bay St.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to be made in Peggy's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Leflore County Humane Society.
