She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Joseph Armetta and Shermia Simpson Armetta. She is survived by: her husband Jan Verhage of Greenwood, MS; her sons, Doug Johnson of Tupelo, MS, Victor Verhage of Huntsville, AL, Mike Verhage (Kathryn) of Huntsville, AL, Marc Verhage (Beverly) of Huntsville, AL and Craig Verhage (Lori) of Cleveland, MS; and her grandchildren, Shain Johnson, Darren Verhage, Machaela Verhage, Natalie Verhage, Michael Verhage, Taylor Johnson, Sara Kate Verhage, Addysin Gay and Kinleigh Carver.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson and Knight Funeral Home (910 US-82, Greenwood, MS 38930). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
