She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Tippets and Marjorie Vivian Tiegpjen Tippets; her children, Sam D. McGarrity Jr. and Katrina Engle; and her great grandchildren, Matthew Little and Daniel Fisk.
She is survived by: her children, Bill McGarrity of Sidon, MS, Delbert McGarrity of Pearl, MS, Katherine Holmes of Oxford, MS and Laura Blaylock; and her sister Janice Houser. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
